Advisory Board

Through his private consultancy practice, Benji is currently a strategic advisor to both the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET) and Future Fuels CRC, with previous clients including Bioenergy Australia.  His recent engagements include flying the flag for community energy, battery and solar market development in the City of Greater Bendigo and nearby regions, through providing expert thought leadership as a guest speaker at public and stakeholder forums, and moderating the CEO panel at the Australian Hydrogen Forum 2022.

Prior to that, Benji was Jemena’s Energy Policy Manager for more than 13 years He played a key role in shaping Jemena’s energy policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement approach over the last decade while actively representing their policy interests both directly via many industry associations including Energy Networks Australia, Ai Group, Australian Pipelines & Gas Association, EV Council of Australia, Hydrogen Mobility Australia, as well as research bodies such as the Future Fuels CRC.

Benjy is the Deputy Chair of The Energy Charter’s industry working group, the first whole-of-sector initiative to address customer expectations. Benjy also works closely with a wide range of consumer advocates, energy businesses, policymakers and other key stakeholders on energy policy matters.
