
Dr Roger Dargaville
Deputy Director, Monash Energy Institute
Roger is an renewable energy system integration expert, working in the Engineering Faculty at Monash University as the Director of Sustainability and Deputy Director of the Monash Energy Institute. He conducts research into optimal pathways to low and zero carbon electricity systems for Australia and other domains, investigating the role of energy storage technologies, transmission networks, demand-side management in industrial, commercial and residential settings as well as the role of electric vehicles and end user behaviour.
Roger has a PhD in atmospheric physics from University of Melbourne, and has worked as a researcher or program manager at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (USA), UNESCO, the International Energy Agency and the University of Melbourne.
